My professional training is in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Relationships after completing a BA(Hons) at the University of Warwick. I am a qualified member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer face-to face and online counselling. My specialist interest is understanding how physical health can impact on mental health.
I work in a very open and realistic way, explaining everything about the counselling process at the start and answering any questions honestly. I believe that each person has the potential to grow and develop in their own unique way, and my role as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive and confidential space for my clients to explore their inner experiences and discover their own path to healing and growth.
My professional experience has covered conditions of anxiety, loss, depression, eating disorders, relationships, low self-esteem, trauma, shyness, anger issues and many other kinds of psychological or emotional difficulty.
I am grateful for where I am in life now, but this wasn't always the case . I have experienced bereavement, grief, loss, anxiety and trauma at the very young age and then later on in life, the loss of my first born child. This was devastating experience in my life. During those times I had wonderful people by my side that have helped me unconditionally. Of course healing didn't happen overnight, but with help from family, friends , others and self-help, I was able to experience " post-traumatic growth", and I have decided not to hide from my wounds and be embarrassed or ashamed about it but use it as a source of healing. That it what has led me to the path of helping others.
